Mary Kay awards research grants to fund groundbreaking skin health studies

Mary Kay, Inc., in a partnership with the European Society for Dermatological Research, awarded two $20,000 grants to researchers conducting groundbreaking, innovative studies in skin health and skin disease.

Dr. Michael Cangkrama, a senior scientist in the department of biology at the Institute of Molecular Health Sciences, ETH Zürich, who is studying molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the development and progression of epithelial skin cancers, the most common types of cancer in humans.

Dr. Clarisse Ganier, a Research Associate at the Center of Gene Therapy and Regenerative Medicine at King’s College London, will work in an international collaborative effort to map all cell types within the human body to generate a comprehensive Skin Cell Atlas.
