Mary Kay receives Forest Stewardship Council certification

by Maciej Maciejewski

Mary Kay Inc., in celebration of International Day of Forests, announced its recent certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a global nonprofit that promotes responsible forest management, for its Mary Kay Print and Digital Imaging Centers at its global corporate headquarters.

This certification is confirmation that Mary Kay is supporting responsible forestry through the use of 100% FSC recycled materials or FSC mixed paper sources for its commercial printing and paper inserts used in products exported globally.

– We are proud of the progress in our sustainability journey. The FSC certificate is the result of many months of hard work, preparation, implementation of new protocols, and training. This accomplishment highlights Mary Kay’s commitment to the environment and business excellence – said Deborah Gibbins, Mary Kay chief operating officer.

This year also marks the 15th year that Mary Kay has partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation, which has resulted in the planting of 1.3 million trees and supported large scale reforestation projects around the world.
