Tupperware appoints Douglas Lane as vice president of investor relations and strategy

The system of direct sales and network marketing means constant changes and dynamic development. Business Tupperware announced that Douglas Lane has joined the company as vice president of investor relations and strategy.

Douglas Lane joins the company with more than 30 years of experience in the investor relations field. He had been following consumer products companies from an equity research perspective, with a specialization in the direct selling industry.

Most recently, Douglas served as founder and principal at Lane Research LLC, a boutique equity research company providing information to institutional investors. Lane Research was founded in 2016 and covered major direct sellers like Tupperware, Avon, Herbalife and Nu Skin. Before this, Douglas Lane co-founded Kristin Lane Agency LLC, a brand marketing agency.

Tupperware CEO Miguel Fernandez said: “We are pleased to have Douglas join us as we begin to see our omnichannel strategy come to life as a key component to our turnaround strategy. Given his knowledge and experience in the industry, we know he understands both the direct selling and the consumer side of our business, and we feel that his leadership in this area will be critical to delivering shareholder value”.

As Tupperware’s vice president of investor relations and strategy, Douglas Lane will lead the development of the company’s business strategy and interface with the investment community. In addition to this, he will be responsible for co-operating with the executive team and board of directors to articulate the strategic direction of the company.
