In the most recent trees report, Mary Kay shares the benefits of the projects completed through this partnership so far:

  • 1,018,021 metric tons of CO2 have been sequestered to date.
  • 81,902,445 gallons of water have avoided runoff. This is equal to providing 930,710 people with clean water.
  • 4,236 tons of air pollutants have been removed.

Last year, Mary Kay completed six planting projects featuring fire recovery, insect restoration forests, and reforestation in Brazil, the Mississippi River Valley, Florida, China’s Gansu Province and Inner Mongolia Forests, Peru and Germany.

In 2022, the company plants to plant trees in China, Brazil, Madagascar and Florida. – Globally, around 18 million acres of trees are lost each year. To raging wildfires, insects, disease, climate change, and more, the need for reforestation is dire. Mary Kay has a footprint in markets around the world—so we must do what we can to protect it. Our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation allows us to provide a more sustainable future for generations to come – said Deborah Gibbins, Mary Kay Inc. chief operating officer.
