Coway Co. will begin construction of a solar power plant in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on the roof of iOBED, the company’s subsidiary, in early 2023. This new plant is estimated to provide an annual capacity of 800 KWh and will play an important role in Coway’s ESG initiatives, which seek to minimize the negative environmental impacts of the company’s operations and reinforce its sustainability efforts.

Coway already operates three solar power plants at its factories and distribution center. “We expect to reduce GHG emissions by 470 tons annually through our new solar power plants. This is part of our ESG initiative that we’re dedicated to fulfilling in line with responsibility as an environmentally-friendly company” – said a Coway official in a statement.
